Shadow Spirit

Shadow Spirit was an exhibition commissioned by RISING about First Peoples Ancestral systems of knowledge. It told stories that traversed time and celestial worlds and was a reflection on the shadows of Australia’s history.

We worked with Jenna Lee, a First Nations artist, known for her work with tangible materials, to explore an ethereal yet hard to miss identity. Her key artwork was then handed to Pat Hamilton, a 3D visualizer, to bring it to life, without losing the handmade aesthetic of the original.

With exhibition design experts Peter King Studio, we then wove the identity throughout Flinders Street Station’s abandoned rooms.
